Memory Collar Locator
Memory casing collar locator for slickline and coiled tubing operations, supporting depth correlation and plug setting depth determination.
The Memory Collar Locator records casing collars and completion features to correlate slickline or coiled tubing depth with the completion tally. This helps determine plug setting depths and locate the section of interest.
The assembly combines a battery housing, memory controller and sensor section. Once programmed, the tool records downhole data while a line management system tracks depth through an encoder connected to the slickline or coiled tubing unit. The recorded data and depth measurements are combined into a log for depth correlation.
