GR/CCL Depth Control
Combined gamma ray and casing collar locator module for depth correlation, lithology evaluation and radioactive scale identification.
The GR/CCL Depth Control module combines gamma ray measurement with casing collar detection to correlate logging depth with reference logs and casing features.
A sodium iodide scintillation detector measures gamma radiation, while the casing collar locator detects changes in metal thickness associated with casing collars. Internal temperature is recorded in non-volatile memory to maintain a record of the tool’s temperature exposure.
