Fixed Cage Flow Meter
Protected fixed-cage spinner for centreline flow measurement and leak detection when combined with the Combined Flow Meter.
The Fixed Cage Flow Meter measures centreline flow at the bottom of the logging string. Its mechanical impeller operates with the Combined Flow Meter (CFT), which provides the flowmeter electronics alongside temperature and capacitance measurements.
The impeller assembly is protected by a fixed cage to minimise the risk of damage during deployment. Different sizes allow selection according to the minimum restriction in the completion.
