Combined Flow Meter
Compact production logging tool combining capacitance, spinner flow measurement and fast-response temperature sensing.
The Combined Flow Meter brings capacitance, flow and temperature measurements together in a compact tool. It is compatible with standard fixed-cage spinners and the Full Bore Spinner, reducing the length of the logging assembly.
The capacitance sensor measures the dielectric constant of the surrounding fluid. Combined with other sensor measurements, this supports qualitative fluid identification and water hold-up determination.
A Hall Effect sensor array records spinner rotation at 10 pulses per revolution, while a fast-response platinum resistance thermometer measures wellbore temperature.
