Array Production Logging

Array Production Logging measures fluid velocity and hold-up at multiple positions across the wellbore. The ArrayPro tool uses six arms, each carrying co-located velocity, resistance and capacitance sensors to evaluate flow and fluid distribution.

The sensor arrangement supports bi-directional flow evaluation. Resistance and capacitance data are processed after logging to determine water hold-up, with a real-time quicklook hold-up indication available during acquisition.

The tool runs with centralisers and an adjustable arm opening. It can be combined with the Array Gas Hold-up Tool for three-phase flow evaluation.

Operating considerations

The arm opening should be adjusted to avoid contamination from debris on the casing wall and minimise the risk of damage in open-hole or horizontal sections.
