Non-explosive mechanical puncher for creating oriented holes in tubing and casing, with single- or multiple-punch configurations.
The ID PUNCH creates holes in tubing and casing mechanically, providing an alternative where explosives are difficult to obtain or bring into the country. It supports oriented punching and can create one or multiple holes per run, depending on the configuration and tubular specifications.
The tool is deployed with an ID-SET Setting Tool. Activation can be programmed before deployment in memory mode or controlled from surface using eSlickline or conventional e-line. After penetration, the punch pistons retract so the tool can be retrieved.
Non-explosive mechanical punching
Oriented punching capability
Single- or multiple-punch configurations
Programmable memory activation or surface-controlled activation
Operated using the ID-SET Setting Tool
Suitable for high-grade tubulars, including P110
Configurations for pipe outside diameters from 2-7/8" to 9-5/8"
Mechanical punching of tubing and casing
Operations requiring an alternative to explosive punching
Creating multiple holes in a single run
The number of punch heads that can be used simultaneously depends on the tubing or casing size and weight.
