High-resolution ultrasonic tools for casing inspection, wall thickness measurement and well integrity verification.
Ultrasonic measurement technology uses high-frequency acoustic pulses to build a detailed image of the casing wall and the material behind it. Where conventional evaluation returns an average, ultrasonic tooling resolves individual features: pitting, wall loss, deformation and the boundary between cement, fluid and gas.
Unlike conventional caliper or magnetic tools, the measurement is contactless and azimuthal, so a single pass produces a full circumferential map. That makes it possible to distinguish internal corrosion from external metal loss and to quantify remaining wall thickness with confidence.
Typical applications include casing inspection and corrosion surveys, cement evaluation in demanding wells, integrity verification before abandonment, and baseline surveys that later runs can be compared against.
